| Wishing
to draw further advertising from style entities, Worth
magazine hired us to create a series of images depicting fashion through
the last decades of the 20th century, all utilizing the famous style
of the Absolut vodka ads. MDesign was given wide latitude on how to
progress on this project, with one stipulation: all the images had
to contain a string of pearls. After careful inquiry, we decided on
certain styles that embodied the fashion of each decade, and researched
different fabrics to create the dressed bottles. As each bottle was
meticulously fashioned in Photoshop, we also decided that the pearls
themselves should reflect the decade in question; thus, in each image
the necklace is slightly different. To give the collection of images
added impact, we presented them as a butterflied, fold-out poster
that could be removed from the magazine for display. |
