MDesign was asked to develop, in conjunction with Vanessa Warner Public Relations, two related brochures for a division of the UJA-Federation, the New York Legal Assistance Project, whose mission is to provide legal advice to low-income families and individuals with health-related issues. We first of all decided that the organization’s name didn’t adequately relate that mission, and presented an alternative, LegalHealth; this was approved, and a new logo developed (both were subsequently trademarked). We then created two brochures with a common layout that would both help establish an easily recognizable organizational brand and be easily adaptable by the organization for future pieces; in addition, it was sized to be used as either an office handout or mailer. Photos were chosen to reflect the wide variety of the organization’s clients and the two colors were selected to give each brochure its own distinct identity. The client has been more than thrilled with the outcome, and the response from both clients and agencies has been overwhelmingly positive. The UJA-Federation has even written an article about the process.
